XCL109/XCL110: Compact and Efficient Micro DC/DC Converters
Highly Integrated DC/DC Solution
The XCL109/XCL110 series from TOREX integrates both the IC and coil into a compact package measuring just 2.0×2.5×1.04mm. These space-saving step-up DC/DC converters require only small input and output capacitors as peripheral components. They operate from an input voltage as low as 0.9V, making them suitable for devices powered by a single alkaline or nickel-metal hydride battery. The output voltage is adjustable in 0.1V increments between 1.8V and 5.5V and is specified for operation at ambient temperatures up to 105°C.

The series offers multiple variants tailored to different application requirements:
- Load-Disconnect Type: Disconnects the input from the output in standby mode to minimize battery consumption
- Bypass Type: Establishes a direct connection between the input and output during MCU sleep mode, allowing the battery to supply the MCU directly. The voltage is only boosted to 3.3V or other levels in active mode, reducing standby power consumption and improving overall efficiency.
- Output-OR Type: Designed for applications with multiple power supply lines or backup systems that require a reliable output-OR connection
