XC9702 Series: Efficient Voltage Conversion
Synchronous 60V DC/DC Step-Down Converterr by TOREX
TOREX introduces the XC9702 series, a synchronous 60V DC/DC step-down converter with low quiescent current. The DC/DC IC operates with a reference voltage of 0.75V (±1.5%), allowing the output voltage to be freely adjusted in the range of 2.5V to 12V using external resistors. The selection of the regulation algorithm between pure PWM or automatic PWM/PFM switching for high efficiency across the entire load spectrum is done via the MODE pin.

The input voltage can vary between 4.5V and 60V, with the output current specified at a maximum of 300mA. The IC operates at a switching frequency of 1.0MHz and a quiescent current of only 12µA (in PFM mode). Additional features such as a Power-Good pin, Soft-Start, and thermal shutdown circuitry are also integrated. Customers have the option between package options USP-10B (2.6x2.9x0.6mm) and HSOP-8N.
In summary, the XC9702 series enables the development of extremely compact solutions that can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C. The series is already in mass production, and samples as well as evaluation boards are available.
