Synchronous Step-Down Module with Excellent Load and Line Regulation
The MPM3814 from MPS is a synchronous step-down module with an integrated inductor, capable of delivering a continuous output current (IOUT) of up to 1A. It supports input voltages (VIN) ranging from 2.75V to 6V and offers excellent load and line regulation.

At light loads, the MPM3814 operates in Advanced Asynchronous Modulation (AAM) mode, while at higher loads, it switches to Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) to ensure minimal output voltage ripple. The output voltage (VOUT) is adjustable down to 0.6V, providing high flexibility for adapting to various applications.
The module requires only feedback resistors (FB), input capacitors (CIN), and output capacitors (COUT) for operation. Its integrated Constant-On-Time (COT) control scheme ensures fast transient response, high efficiency, and easy loop stabilisation.
The MPM3814 features comprehensive protection functions, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, and thermal shutdown.
With minimal external component requirements and its ultra-compact ECLGA-14 package (2.5x2.5x1.2mm), the MPM3814 is ideal for space-constrained applications that demand efficient and reliable voltage regulation.
