TYV Series: New SMD Product With a Long Lifetime
RUBYCON: High-Capacity SMD Electrolytic Capacitors
Electrolytic capacitors often need to have an extended lifetime. RUBYCON has announced the new SMD electrolytic capacitor series, TYV. This series is designed to achieve a long service life of 8,000 hours (at 105°C), while simultaneously providing high capacitance and a substantial ripple current.
Overcoming this challenge with SMD types proves to be demanding, as the design must take into consideration the product after reflow soldering. Simply finding a new electrolyte is not enough. It requires additional, more comprehensive efforts, including the adaptation of sealing rubbers, the use of higher quality separator paper and other measures.
The new TYV series from RUBYCON impresses with the same high capacity and ripple current as the original TNV series (105°C, 5,000 hours), but with an extended lifetime of 8,000 hours.
