AKM introduces the AK4497S, a newly reimagined stereo D/A converter, and the AK4498EX, a partitioned stereo D/A converter. Both models are now available and are highly suited for a wide range of high-end audio applications, including network audio and USB DACs, CD/SACD players, wireless speaker systems, soundbars, digital audio players, electronic musical instruments, audio interfaces, and digital mixing consoles.

The AK4497S integrates the latest technological advancements, offering improved sound quality, higher performance, and enhanced usability compared to its predecessor, the AK4497. The new module supports digital input resolutions of up to 768kHz PCM and DSD512, delivering an authentic and immersive sound experience for high-resolution recordings.
Exceptional Sound Transparency and Easy Evaluation
The combination of the AK4498EX with the AK4191 – a digital filter and ΔΣ modulator – creates a complete two-chip DAC solution that separates the processing-intensive digital signal from the analog signal. This innovative architecture significantly reduces digital noise during the analog conversion process, resulting in exceptional sound transparency. For easy evaluation, AKM also provides development kits. The development kit for the AK4498EX includes the analog IC AK4191, allowing for comprehensive system testing.
