EATON optimised the ACE2V3225-201-R common mode choke to meet the tough S-parameter requirements of OPEN Alliance 2.0 for 100BASE-T1 communication. The tricky task is to achieve a low data conversion and insertion loss, while maintaining a high common and differential mode noise reduction.

The OPEN technology gets more popular; in order to reduce the cable weight in vehicles overall it requires only one twisted pair cable. Based on the IEEE 802.3bw standard, bit rates of up to 100MBits can be realised over a distance of up to 40m.
